HAVASI Concert Show — ft. Dohnanyi Strings Quintet
An Epic Musical Journey
The artists carry the audience along on a fascinating voyage through constantly unfolding musical scenes. The different moods present the audience with a memorably intense experience, like a ride on a rollercoaster of emotions, enhanced by the very latest technology in sound, stage, lighting and video projections.
Modern & Classical
The program is 100% original works by one of the most fascinating and versatile young composers of today, HAVASI. His innovative music is unlike anything you have heard before; fresh, passionate and entertaining at the same time.
Classical pianist vs. Rock drummer
Drum & Piano — The battle of instruments
One of the biggest highlights of this unusual and imaginative musical event is Drum & Piano -the battle of instruments. Two great artists playing to the same musical heartbeat. HAVASI, the conservatoire-trained classical pianist, and Endi, drummer with the Hungarian rock band ‘Hooligans’ now appear together on the same stage – united in a shared desire to make great music across barriers of genre. Their performance is both a collaboration and a duel – a spellbinding clash that creates musical sparks while also revealing the unexpected: the delicacy of the drum kit, the percussive power of the piano.
Special guest: Lisa Gerrard
Awakenings ft. Lisa Gerrard — live at Carnegie Hall
The HAVASI Concert Show at Crocus City Hall will feature Lisa Gerrard, co-composer and performer of Gladiator. The Australian singer, musician and composer became a world star as a member of the band Dead Can Dance. For the soundtrack of Gladiator, co-produced with Hans Zimmer, she was nominated for an Oscar and received the Golden Globe. Her characteristic, incomparable, achingly magnificent contralto voice is often heard in the biggest box-office hits of Hollywood.
HAVASI Pure Piano — Russian premiere
After its hugely successful debut in Miami and Budapest Pure Piano will be also be a part of the concert show in Moscow following its premiere in Australia, at Sydney Opera House. The secret will be revealed about the music that has captivated the hearts of so many people. It all comes from a single source; the composer and his piano.
The concert will feature the most popular movements from the huge stadium shows performed with a multitude of extremely talented musicians, white it will also be a truly unique and rare opportunity to hear the latest pieces in their original form, the way they were composed for solo piano.
A graduate of the world-renowned Franz Liszt Academy of Music, with a deep knowledge of classical tradition, who is also seeking to make classical instruments relevant to the modern age in a deeply moving yet entertaining way. Havasi is one of the rare contemporary composers with the rock star-like charisma that can sell out huge stadium concerts. He played to 46,000 people, filling the Budapest Arena 4 times over in a single weekend. Recently his first concert in Austria was sold out in the largest stadium of the country, Wiener Stadthalle. This year he debuts in Germany at Berlin’s Mercedes Benz Arena. HAVASI Symphonic has been a Billboard #2 international concert, #1 album on iTunes, and an absolute #1 on Deezer: #1 Artist, #1 Album, #1 song.
